A family's dream home comes with a mysterious back house whose dark history awakens a terrifying chain of supernatural events, leading a mother to uncover a decades old ritual that has chosen her children as its final victims.
SYNOPSIS
Lauren and Simon relocate their family to what seems like the perfect suburban home,
complete with a detached back house tucked away in the backyard. Strange
occurrences begin to happen around Lauren and her children: unsettling visions,
unexplained illnesses, and the eerie behavior of the elderly neighbor next door shatter
any sense of safety.
Lauren discovers a concealed tunnel beneath her son's bedroom leading to a hidden
chamber below the back house. She uncovers the horrifying truth: decades earlier, a
fire claimed the lives of two children, and their mother has spent years preparing a
ritual to bring them back. Now Lauren's own children have become the vessels for their
resurrection.
To save her family, Lauren must confront a force rooted in grief, obsession, and a
house that refuses to let the dead remain buried.
DIRECTOR'S STATEMENT
I have great respect for the horror films that have shaped our culture. From classics like Rosemary's Baby and The Shining to modern films like Hereditary and Barbarian, the horror genre has continued to evolve while captivating audiences with stories that are both terrifying and emotionally compelling.
Some of the most successful horror films are built on a strong family story at their core. Back House is no different. It tells the story of a family struggling to mend their relationships while confronting the terrifying horrors that emerge from a mysterious back house.
